1. Local-First Processing

At Screen Snipper, your privacy is our primary concern. All screen recordings, screenshots, and edits are captured and processed entirely locally on your device within your browser. We do not upload, transfer, or store your screen captures on our servers or any third-party clouds.

2. Data We Collect

We only collect the absolute minimum data required to verify your lifetime license and process your payment:

  • Email Address: Handled securely during checkout and used to send you your license key and updates.
  • Device Installation ID (UUID): A randomly generated anonymous ID stored in your browser to enforce our 3-device limit per license. We do not track hardware identifiers.
  • IP Address: Temporarily logged strictly for API rate-limiting to protect our servers against abuse.

3. Payment Information

All payments are securely processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card details or billing information on our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use minimal analytics solely to understand general website traffic on our landing page. The Chrome Extension itself does NOT include external trackers, ads, or surveillance mechanisms.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as we add new features. Any significant changes will be communicated via email to our licensed users. Your continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of these changes.
